In July 2018, after several months of efforts, we have become able to send our Himalayan girls from Mugu to Europe for an international football tournament. The process was very long and difficult because it was the first time, for these 13 and 14-year-old-girls were leaving their land. Moreover, most of the girls in the team were touching the real football for the first time in their life. None of the people in their community, not even their own family members and not even the girls believed that they can play the football at Spain, a dream country of the footballers from all over the world.

The selection and training amidst uncertainty, geographical difficulty, lack of facility was not an easy job at all when we invited the girls that were born between 1999 and 2001 for a selection process in order to provide with equal opportunity to all the girls of the region of MUGU to get selected for the adventure. To bring the girls from far away villages that take minimum 1 to 2 days walk to reach the place for selection was really tiresome. The ground having stones all over and a steep edge-from where rolling a ball down in the forest can take an hour to pick it up to resume the game. The cattle grazing in the ground all day long. Not even a single condition was in favour for the girls to play football.

The project rests on the theme that, despite hard hit lives, Nepalese are no lesser fervent towards the game. While foreign sportsmen might be playing with the money making motive, the featured players have nothing in their minds, other than a sense of determination and dedication. The players, who are gearing up for their debut, are from Bama village, where there is not a single stadium so far been built, nor do they have access to geographically-conducive football ground nearby to practice for.
